The Tybee is designed with the same blade profile and shape as the Werner Shuna high-angle with a lower price. High-angle paddles are used in whitewater and touring paddling for more powerful strokes and a high angle of attack into the water. This paddle is idea for canoeists that are converting to kayaking, where they are naturally strong in a higher angle to the water surface. For high wind and wave conditions the high angle paddles offer more powerful strokes and faster maneuvers. The paddle length is shorter than a low angle paddle because the blade passes closer to the kayak hull than a low angle paddle. Follow the Werner recommended guidelines for paddle length according to paddler height (wingspan) and hull width.
